How long does the tour last?
The full trip usually takes around 1.5 hours, depending on sea conditions and wildlife activity.
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes, we recommend booking ahead to secure your spot — especially during weekends and peak summer months. Spaces on the boat are limited.
Is it suitable for children?
Yes! Children are welcome, though we recommend a minimum age of 7 or 1.2m tall due to the open water and nature of the RIB. All kids must be accompanied by an adult.
What should I wear?
We supply lifejackets and IMAX weatherproof jacket & pants to keep you dry and comfortable. Just dress warmly in layers, and bring a hat and possibly gloves, as it can be cool out on the sea.
Will I get wet?
You might get a little sea spray — that’s part of the fun! But you’ll be well protected with the gear we provide.
What if the weather is bad?
Safety is our top priority. If sea conditions aren’t suitable, we’ll reschedule your trip or offer a full refund. We’ll keep in touch and give you as much notice as possible.
Is there parking near the departure point?
Yes — Kilmore Quay has convenient parking close to where we launch. We’ll send you full details in your booking confirmation.
Can I bring a camera or phone?
Absolutely — you’ll want to capture the views and wildlife! Just make sure your device is secure and water-protected, as we’re out at sea.
Are pets allowed?
Unfortunately, pets aren’t allowed on board for safety reasons.
Will we land on the islands?
This is a sea safari — we circle and explore the hidden gems around the island at sea level from the boat.
What to Bring
We’ve got most of the gear covered — all you need to do is dress for the adventure!
Lifejackets & Weatherproof Gear Supplied
Safety and comfort come first. We provide top-quality lifejackets and IMAX weatherproof jacket & pants for every passenger, so you’ll stay dry and protected from the sea spray.
Dress Warmly
Even on a sunny day, it can feel cool and breezy out on the open water. We recommend wearing layers, along with a hat and possibly gloves, especially in spring or autumn. It’s always better to have them and not need them!
Footwear
Comfortable, non-slip shoes or boots are ideal. Avoid sandals or open-toed shoes — your feet will thank you.
Extras to Consider
Bring a camera or smartphone (just make sure it’s secure — there’s a lot you’ll want to capture!), sunglasses, and maybe a small bottle of water.
